Using Pay with GasBuddy to save on every gallon

You'll save per gallon of gas you pump, and savings vary based on where you pump. Free members can save up to 25 cents per gallon, like in the screenshot above. You can save up to 40 cents per gallon when you enroll in GasBuddy Premium.

The best day of the week to buy gas is Monday. Their research finds that you'll likely save a bit if you buy your gas on this day. Conversely, you don't want to buy gas on Saturday. It may seem like minute savings, but over the course of a month and over a year, the change can add up.

GasBack^® is defined as a reward credit that members earn based on their purchases made on their Card. GasBack^® credit accumulates into a rewards account (the “GasBack Account”) for the Program member to redeem as a statement credit when they use their GasBuddy^™ Mastercard^® Credit Card at the pump.

Upside has greater cashback potential than GasBuddy. Both apps offer similar gas deals at the pumps, but Upside offers a broader range of other deals. Upside offers cash back at over 50,000 restaurants, grocery markets, and supermarkets while GasBuddy offers cash back at only a couple dozen national chains.

The Pay With GasBuddy card is accepted at nearly all stations that accept WEX cards and credit as a form of payment. The following brands do not accept Pay With GasBuddy, as they are either already typically discounted, or simply not participating: BJs. Costco.

GasBuddy makes money by selling its data about customer likes and dislikes to the station operators, who historically make most of their profits on food and beverage items, with gas as the lure to bring them in.
