My doctoral research in the field of transformational leadership and coaching is a workshop to explore the frontline experience. We are looking at the definition of personal responsibility, the ability to pause between stimulus and response, and consciously choose how best to respond with the intent to meet personal yearnings, to matter, to be heard, to contribute, to love, to belong, to be part of the greater whole. How is one to be with all that is going on internally (thoughts, beliefs, and feelings) and live a meaningful and satisfying life, both at work and personally? Can we shift our perspective from a place of anger, hurt, and fear toward greater trust, self-affirmation, and intention? I assert with self-awareness and a coach, emergence occurs.
